The author, W. C. Mallery, has been a lawyer, a teacher and a tender of bar. He lives in the Hudson River Valley with his wife and her dog, and writes recreationally about people he has known who may now be forgotten. By his writing, he hopes that they will be remembered. As a lawyer, the author has worked as an assistant district attorney in Brooklyn and in the securities industry. He has taught business law at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY and, most importantly, while a student, tended bar while working summers for the Long Island Railroad.
